Cloud Solution Architect

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cloud solutions provider seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to join their growing team. This is a remote position based in the United States, offering the opportunity to lead presales initiatives and architect enterprise-grade cloud solutions for diverse customers across government and commercial sectors.

Our talent team is looking for someone with deep technical expertise and strong customer-facing skills who can drive cloud adoption strategies and lead complex solution development from inception through handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead presales activities for cloud migration, greenfield deployments, disaster recovery, and cloud-native application development across public, private, and hybrid platforms
• Engage directly with customer CXOs and IT leadership to represent cloud technology expertise and win high-value opportunities
• Develop cloud-agnostic solutions and create commercially viable proposals optimized for both technical excellence and competitive positioning
• Own responses to government and commercial RFPs/bids, ensuring solution and commercial documentation meets requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams and partners to build pipeline, develop services, and drive cloud go-to-market messaging
• Oversee opportunity management, team reporting, and maintain documentation best practices
• Identify and mitigate business risks related to customer engagements
• Mentor team members and contribute to recruiting and developing cloud talent
• Maintain and develop technical skills through continuous learning and formal certifications

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, or consulting on distributed applications
• 5+ years in technology/software sales, presales, or technical consulting in customer-facing roles
• Proven experience leading presales, architecture, or consultancy teams at a solutions provider, consultancy, IT reseller, or systems integrator
• Professional-level cloud certification required (AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent in any major cloud platform)
• Strong experience architecting and operating solutions built on AWS
• Demonstrated expertise with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies
• Working knowledge of modern software development tools and methodologies
• Proven track record working on government and commercial bids/RFPs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to engage senior executives
• Strategic thinking capability around business, product, and technical challenges
• Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure costs and creating competitive proposals
