Texas Lifestyle Magazine Editorial Intern – Fall 2026

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential media client seeking an Editorial Intern for their lifestyle publication. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in magazine publishing while working remotely with experienced editors and publishers.

Duration: January–June 2027 (6 months)
Commitment: Minimum 15 hours per week
Location: Remote (US-based; Texas residents or those with Texas connections preferred)
Employment Type: Internship (unpaid; may qualify for college credit through your university)

Responsibilities

As an Editorial Intern, you'll contribute to both editorial and administrative functions:

• Write and research content for online and print publication
• Pitch story ideas to editors and conduct location scouting for features
• Manage image libraries and maintain digital asset organization
• Coordinate with PR firms on story support and sample requests
• Collaborate with social media teams on content execution
• Plan and organize publication events
• Maintain editorial style guides and subscription databases
• Fact-check content including names, locations, and websites
• Handle giveaway logistics and media sponsorship coordination
• Support various editorial projects as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Exceptional writing skills with strong attention to detail
• Self-starter with initiative and creativity
• Excellent communication and time management abilities
• Ability to independently manage workflow and meet deadlines
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude toward learning
• Basic proficiency with Mac or PC and Google Apps (Gmail, Docs, Sheets)
• Experience with WordPress preferred but not required
• Familiarity with Sprout Social preferred but not required
• Current enrollment in a college or university program preferred
