About This Opportunity
Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential technology consulting firm seeking experienced DevOps Engineers to join their growing practice. Our client helps organizations leverage cloud infrastructure to transform operations and drive efficiency. This is a remote position based in the United States.
As a recruiter, we're looking for skilled professionals who can deliver technical excellence while working directly with enterprise customers on complex infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Deliver on-site and remote projects implementing distributed computing solutions across hybrid cloud environments
- Migrate existing applications and develop new cloud-native solutions using modern infrastructure services
- Create technical documentation and architecture artifacts for client engagements
- Collaborate with partner managers, training teams, and support staff to educate customers on infrastructure best practices
- Design and implement highly automated infrastructure solutions for production environments
- Build and maintain seamless automated build and release management pipelines across all environments
What We're Looking For
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work across internal and external organizations
- Practical Linux and Windows systems administration skills in cloud or virtualized environments
- Experience with infrastructure as code and resource tagging strategies
- Proven track record automating production environments and building sophisticated infrastructure
- Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- Demonstrated consulting skills, ideally in previous DevOps or technical consulting roles
- Experience architecting and operating hybrid cloud environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Math background preferred
- Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA and REST)
- Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, JMeter)
- Management of CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity
- Version control experience with Git, SVN, Mercurial, or Perforce
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Icinga, or SiteScope
- Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, or Perl
- Production experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible)
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation templates and JSON
- Proven experience with SDLC and agile/iterative methodologies
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer
