About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential client in the hospitality and events sector who is preparing to launch a prestigious new meetings and events venue in London's West End in Spring 2027. This is an exciting opening team opportunity to shape the culture and operational excellence of a state-of-the-art 54,000-square-foot venue designed for immersive, high-profile corporate and experiential events.
As a Senior Event Production Manager, you will oversee the planning and execution of complex events, serving as the primary client liaison while leading internal teams to deliver exceptional experiences. This role combines strategic leadership, detailed project management, and hands-on event production expertise.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Events Team, including scheduling, resource allocation, performance appraisals, and professional development
- Conduct biannual reviews and regular one-to-one meetings with direct reports, ensuring compliance with health and safety training requirements
- Oversee planning and execution of physical, hybrid, and virtual events from initial client engagement through post-event debrief
- Act as main client liaison during planning phases, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication
- Develop detailed event documentation including Programme Execution Orders, room layouts, timelines, and deliverables
- Conduct client kick-off meetings and provide guidance on deadlines, requirements, and production schedules
- Collaborate with AV production, catering, and operations teams to finalize event logistics
- Support pre-sales activities by advising on event feasibility, logistics, and timelines
- Oversee event budget management, cost calculations, approvals, and final invoicing
- Supervise on-site event operations, troubleshooting challenges in real time
- Lead weekly event meetings and Programme Execution Order discussions across stakeholders
- Facilitate continuous improvement through pre- and post-event debriefs
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- 3–5 years of experience in large-scale corporate event planning, including complex social and experiential events
- Extensive experience with physical, hybrid, and virtual event formats
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple simultaneous events
- Excellent client relationship management and communication capabilities
- Knowledge of AV production, catering logistics, and event operations
- Proficiency in event management software and project management tools
Desirable:
- Familiarity with virtual event platforms and livestream production
- Budget management experience in events settings
