Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential fintech client in the United Kingdom. They are seeking an AML Analyst to join their Decision Intelligence team and strengthen fraud detection, prevention, monitoring, and response capabilities across their financial crime decisioning infrastructure.

This is not a traditional case-handling role. You will work at the decisioning layer, translating fraud patterns into rules, monitoring performance, supporting testing, reviewing alert behaviour, and ensuring fraud controls remain effective and proportionate. You will join during an important growth phase as the organisation matures its fraud and AML decisioning capability.

Responsibilities

You will operate and improve the fraud decisioning capability, focusing on card fraud and related financial crime risk scenarios. Your responsibilities include:

• Supporting the end-to-end fraud rule lifecycle: proposal, analysis, testing, deployment, monitoring, tuning, and rollback
• Working directly with decisioning tools and rule engines to support fraud detection logic
• Analysing fraud patterns, alert trends, false positives, false negatives, and rule performance
• Translating operational insights and stakeholder requests into clear, structured rule proposals
• Assessing whether new rules or threshold changes are justified by data
• Monitoring post-deployment rule performance and identifying when adjustments are needed
• Supporting daily operational requests related to fraud controls while ensuring traceability and documentation
• Partnering with cross-functional teams including Operations, Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and Legal to ensure aligned, risk-aware decisioning changes
• Maintaining clear documentation for fraud rules, rationale, expected impact, testing outcomes, and monitoring results
• Building repeatable processes and stronger business continuity around fraud decisioning to reduce single points of failure

What We're Looking For

We seek a candidate who combines fraud domain knowledge with practical decisioning experience. You should have:

• Experience as a Fraud Analyst, Risk Analyst, Fraud Strategy Analyst, Fraud Rules Analyst, Decisioning Analyst, or similar role
• Hands-on experience with a decisioning tool, fraud rules engine, risk platform, or internal decisioning system
• Experience creating, testing, monitoring, or tuning fraud rules, thresholds, scenarios, or risk logic
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to assess rule performance and fraud patterns
• Good understanding of fraud typologies, especially card fraud, transaction fraud, account misuse, or payment fraud
• Ability to balance fraud prevention with customer impact and operational workload
• Experience working with false positives and understanding that fraud controls require continuous monitoring and tuning
• Strong written communication skills with ability to explain rule logic, rationale, risks, and expected outcomes clearly
• Comfort working cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Data teams
• A structured mindset with appreciation for documentation, traceability, governance, and change control

Preferred experience includes:

• Fintech, banking, payments, spend management, or regulated financial services background
• SQL or basic data analysis capabilities

Location requirements: You must be physically based in the United Kingdom with valid right to work. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Remote, hybrid, and in-person arrangements are available.
