Senior Software Engineer (C# .NET) | London

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology services organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their global development team in London. Our client operates across multiple international locations and has built a robust technology platform serving enterprise clients worldwide.

As a senior member of the engineering team, you will work on mission-critical applications and services, collaborating with colleagues across Europe, North America, and Asia. This is an opportunity to make an immediate impact within a growing technology department.

Responsibilities

• Engage in all phases of application development, with emphasis on coding and debugging in alignment with security standards throughout the entire lifecycle
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code/APIs to support both web and mobile applications
• Collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams including product managers, quality assurance, designers, and fellow developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Work with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devising solutions to mitigate and address issues
• Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and security
• Implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive data and protect against potential threats
• Develop automation tests and collaborate with automation engineers to ensure business needs are met and allow for regression testing
• Provide personalized software support to users as needed
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve backend infrastructure
• Document application support and operational procedures
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to foster their growth and development

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on building scalable and reliable systems
• Extensive knowledge of.NET C#, LINQ, MS SQL, Entity Framework, and related technologies
• Proficiency with version control software such as Git
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles and clean code practices
• Experience using web service protocols such as REST and API design for extensibility and integration
• Proven experience debugging complex applications
• Experience with Agile development and project management methodologies
• Database development experience in SQL Server or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Docker
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with proven ability to work effectively in team environments
• Experience with Azure, AWS, RabbitMQ, and Quartz is a plus
