Software Engineer (.NET C#)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology services organization seeking a Software Engineer to join their global development team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary group of professionals located across multiple international offices, contributing to platform development that serves users worldwide.

As part of our client's technology operations team, you'll be instrumental in building and maintaining software solutions that form the foundation of their core platform services. You'll work on scalable applications and interfaces that simplify complex workflows for both internal teams and end users.

Responsibilities

• Engage in all phases of application development, with primary focus on coding and debugging while maintaining security standards throughout the development lifecycle
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code and APIs supporting both web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, quality assurance, designers, and fellow developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Work alongside front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Identify performance bottlenecks and bugs, devising solutions to address and mitigate issues
• Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and security
• Implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive data and protect against potential threats
• Develop automation tests and collaborate with automation engineers to ensure business needs are met and enable regression testing
• Provide personalized software support to users as needed
• Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve backend infrastructure
• Document application support and operational procedures
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support their professional development

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with demonstrated focus on building scalable and reliable systems
• Extensive knowledge of.NET C#, LINQ, MS SQL, Entity Framework, and related technologies
• Proficiency using version control software such as Git
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles and clean code practices
• Experience with web service protocols such as REST and API design for extensibility and integration
• Proven experience debugging complex applications
• Working knowledge of Agile development and project management methodologies
• Database development experience with SQL Server or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Docker
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments
• Experience with Azure, AWS, RabbitMQ, and Quartz is advantageous
