Freelance QA Tester / Software-Tester (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization in Leipzig seeking a freelance QA tester for approximately 5 hours per week. You will work closely with our talent team to support the client's testing process before production deployments.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Conducting manual testing of new features and bug fixes based on tickets in testing status
• Performing regression tests to ensure new changes do not break existing functionality
• Verifying that acceptance criteria and bug fixes are properly fulfilled
• Exploratory testing to actively search for edge cases and unexpected behavior
• Documenting bugs clearly with reproduction steps, screenshots/videos, and priority levels
• Creating follow-up tickets as needed
• Coordinating closely with the product manager and development team

What We're Looking For

• Multiple years of experience in manual software testing, ideally within SaaS or web application environments
• Self-directed and reliable work approach as a freelancer
• Experience with Jira or comparable ticket management systems is advantageous
• Structured, precise working style with ability to find bugs others overlook
• Basic understanding of web technologies including APIs, browser developer tools, and testing across different devices and browsers
• Strong communication skills in German and/or English
• Nice to have: Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium

Pay
