About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise software organization in their search for a Principal Enterprise Architect to join their London team. This high-impact role requires a unique blend of deep technical expertise and executive presence, demanding the ability to confidently present to C-level executives and translate strategic goals into actionable technical plans.

As Principal Enterprise Architect, you will support a growing sales organization in achieving revenue goals by unlocking technical blockers and partnering closely with Sales, Value Engineering, Product Management, Data Operations, and Information Security teams. Your work will span both new prospect engagements and existing customer expansion initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and define overall architecture, data, and cloud strategy for the largest client accounts, leveraging enterprise modernization and capability mapping expertise
  • Engage with and present to customer C-level executives, aligning their strategic objectives with technical strategy
  • Drive innovation by identifying and architecting solutions leveraging emergent technologies, including Agentic AI
  • Bridge internal product and engineering teams with client teams to deliver optimal technical services
  • Assess IT landscape maturity of the customer installed base for the region
  • Participate in pre-sales and post-sales phases by engaging with customer Architecture and security teams
  • Coach and guide consulting teams and ecosystem partners on technical implementation issues including architecture, integration, performance, and scalability
  • Develop reusable assets for consulting teams on projects
  • Develop customer-facing position papers, assets, and thought leadership presentations on architecture and innovation
  • Create technical designs and presentations for internal and client stakeholders

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience as a Software vendor Architect, CTO at a top consulting firm, or Enterprise Architect at a customer organization
  • Proven ability to think strategically, connecting technical solutions to business value and customer objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven track record of presenting complex technical concepts and strategic visions to C-level executives
  • Demonstrated experience in Capability Mapping, Enterprise Modernization, and strong understanding of Agentic AI
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions, ERP systems (particularly SAP), CRM platforms (Salesforce, Dynamics, ServiceNow), cybersecurity fundamentals, API ecosystems, and legacy on-premise enterprise architectures
  • Strong background in Data Architecture, Integration patterns, and development in data-related languages (SQL, Python, etc.)
  • Strong technical background with focus on system integrations, data operations, and automation capabilities
  • Ability to comfortably switch from explaining architecture diagrams to coding or assembling demos of that architecture
  • MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent in an Information Technology-related field
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language such as Spanish, German, French or Italian is a strong advantage

Preferred qualifications:

  • AWS/Azure/GCP Certifications
  • ESB/ETL Certifications (Mulesoft, Oracle, SAP, Talend, Informatica)
  • TOGAF/Zachmann Certification
  • Experience in at least two domains among: Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer/Consumer Management (Service, Order Management, Sales), HR, Procurement
  • Experience in at least two industries among: Consumer Goods, Banking, Pharma, Aerospace, Telco, Transport
