Senior Momentum Data Conversion Tester

We are representing a confidential federal consulting client in their search for a Senior Momentum Data Conversion Tester to support a major Department of Veterans Affairs financial system implementation. This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-visGet A Job.ai ERP program, applying deep technical testing expertise to ensure data conversion accuracy and system readiness for a critical government agency.

Our talent team is seeking an experienced professional who has supported Momentum testing and data conversion activities within large federal programs and can work both independently and collaboratively to validate complex financial data migrations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Conversion Test Lead and government stakeholders to plan and execute data conversion testing for financial system implementation releases, coordinating with multiple vendors to resolve and close issues
• Review and update testing plans for data conversion components across implementation wave releases
• Develop and refine manual test scripts, prioritizing tests using a risk-based approach
• Execute manual and automated test scripts, document results, identify defects, and prepare comprehensive testing summary reports
• Maintain and prioritize a testing defect log shared with government clients and vendors to track progress
• Reconcile pre- and post-conversion financial balances to ensure data integrity
• Ensure legacy system fields map correctly to Momentum's data structures and business rules
• Analyze data from mock conversions, validate load performance, and confirm converted data supports go-live operations
• Conduct deep data conversion validation including source-to-target mapping, data profiling and cleansing, transformation rule validation, and interface file format testing
• Test converted data for usability and accuracy, verifying mock data against external source data
• Perform functional verification of end-to-end processes using converted documents
• Develop and execute automated scripts to compare pre/post conversion datasets and verify financial reporting accuracy post-load

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience supporting Momentum and/or financial data conversion activities at a large federal agency
• Minimum 4 years executing system performance and data validation tests, documenting results, and identifying issues
• Documented experience conducting deep data conversion validation testing
• Experience validating data from mock system conversions and verifying readiness for go-live
• Knowledge of financial data conversion testing strategies and methodologies
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with a desire to enhance them in a challenging, high-visGet A Job.ai environment
• Ability to obtain a public trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs
• Experience using Agility, Jira, or similar tools to manage requirements, test cases, defects, and testing progress
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in iterative development and testing environments
• Experience with financial data and standard financial reporting (e.g., Balance Sheet)
• Experience using SQL or automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium) to validate data and conduct testing
