Senior React JS Developer

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential government technology client undertaking a significant enterprise modernization initiative. We are seeking a Senior React JS Developer to join a team transforming critical public-facing applications through cloud computing, data analytics, and modern web technologies. This is a contract engagement based in Washington, DC with remote work arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test applications using React JS technologies from development through QA to production deployment
• Integrate designs and wireframes within application code, translating mockups into quality production code
• Write application interface code using JavaScript, ensuring components work seamlessly across browsers and devices
• Develop responsive web-based UI components optimized for performance
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture aligned with enterprise standards
• Refactor, debug, and improve existing applications and systems
• Test and deploy applications while maintaining comprehensive documentation throughout the development lifecycle
• Proactively monitor performance utilization and troubleshoot software/hardware issues
• Manage escalated tickets and out-of-cycle requests, determining the best course of action for business needs
• Provide technical knowledge and consultative expertise to stakeholders
• Identify best practices and standards, potentially coordinating activities of other developers

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 16+ years of enterprise web development experience
• 3+ years hands-on experience with React.js UI framework
• 3+ years working with ReactJS, RxJS, NodeJS, and ES6/ES5
• 3+ years implementing Redux architecture
• 3+ years with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Angular 2.0
• 3+ years developing React Native components
• 3+ years working with JSX (JavaScript Syntax Extension)
• 3+ years integrating REST APIs
• 3+ years experience with JSON and XML
• 3+ years translating wireframes and designs into development-ready code
• 3+ years using CSS libraries, Sigma, and Adobe XD
• 3+ years with ReactJS workflows including Flux, Redux, Create React App, and data structure libraries
• 3+ years using Git version control
• 3+ years with Tomcat/Jetty/Undertow Application Servers
• 3+ years working in Linux environments
• 3+ years with Red Hat OpenShift container-based application development and deployment
• 3+ years knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development practices
• Must qualify for a Senior-level government clearance position (11+ years qualifying experience)

Technical Expertise:

• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript object model, DOM manipulation, and event handlers
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and JSX/Babel
• Proficiency with architectural styles and APIs (REST/RPC)
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code
