Threat Analyst

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization that is seeking an exceptional Threat Analyst to support their customer base across North America. This is a unique consultancy role combining advanced analytics, fraud detection expertise, and strategic customer advisory work. You'll work with financial institutions to optimize fraud prevention solutions while maintaining a consultative, relationship-driven approach.

This position offers remote flexibility with travel throughout North America to lead onsite customer workshops and strategy sessions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with fraud prevention teams at financial institutions to ensure maximum solution value and effectiveness
• Provide subject matter expertise to customers, helping them achieve strategic fraud detection and prevention objectives
• Collaborate with data science teams to optimize fraud detection rates while minimizing friction for legitimate customers
• Use data-driven approaches to demonstrate value during proof of concept and pilot projects
• Educate prospects and new customers on behavioral biometrics technology and application to their specific use cases
• Deploy tactical rules and configurations to address acute fraud attacks
• Guide customers toward industry best practices in fraud prevention
• Research emerging threats including account takeover, account opening fraud, remote access scams, social engineering, and mule detection
• Deliver performance reporting and actionable insights on fraud detection effectiveness
• Support sales teams with subject matter expertise during new customer acquisition
• Serve as the voice of the customer to internal product and strategy teams

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a Threat Analyst or Data Analyst, preferably in the financial services or fraud prevention space
• Bachelor's or graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• Experience working with financial institutions' fraud departments and/or fraud monitoring tools
• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills for data analysis and querying
• Experience with Python and/or R is a strong advantage
• Understanding of statistical modeling techniques and their application to fraud detection
• Strong presentation skills with proven ability to present to audiences ranging from C-level executives to operational fraud investigators
• Experience working within cross-functional teams
• Excellent business acumen and customer relationship management skills
• Self-starter who can ramp up quickly and work autonomously
• Professional attitude with strong communication and teamwork capabilities
• Availability to travel within North America for customer meetings and workshops
