About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential software company in Berlin that is expanding its IT infrastructure team. Our client supports over 130 employees across five locations in Germany with a modern, virtualized environment. We're seeking a Network/IT Administrator to join their technical operations team in either part-time or full-time capacity.
Responsibilities
- Support IT infrastructure for 130+ employees distributed across five German locations
- Manage modern infrastructure including multiple VM clusters (230+ VMs running Windows and Linux) connected to SAN infrastructure
- Plan, provision, operate, and maintain IT infrastructure, services, and systems
- Ensure smooth operation of IT infrastructure and services with minimal downtime
- Maintain and enhance IT security across all systems and locations
- Evaluate, configure, and implement system extensions to meet evolving business requirements
- Organize IT procurement, vendor management, and resource planning
What We're Looking For
- Strong degree in IT or a related field, or comparable vocational training
- Professional experience in system and network administration
- Technical expertise in the following areas:
- Windows or Linux Server (Ubuntu)
- Web services (Apache, IIS)
- Mail services (MS Exchange, Postfix)
- IP networking in LAN and WAN environments, DHCP and DNS
- Network and system management tools (Nagios, SNMP)
- Virtualization platforms (VMware)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple locations
- Strong problem-solving skills and systematic approach to infrastructure challenges
