About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential international humanitarian organization seeking a Humanitarian Transformation Intern to support digital and process transformation initiatives across global relief operations. This three-month remote internship offers students and recent graduates a meaningful opportunity to contribute to technology-driven solutions that improve crisis response and serve vulnerable communities worldwide.

Responsibilities

Automation Development (Priority 1):

  • Support the design, development, and testing of low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate and related technologies
  • Assist in creating productivity solutions that reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and enhance operational efficiency
  • Develop user guides, implementation documentation, and other resources that support solution adoption and sustainability

Innovation and Emerging Technology Research (Priority 2):

  • Research emerging technologies, artificial intelligence capabilities, and digital tools relevant to humanitarian operations
  • Conduct comparative assessments of potential technology solutions and contribute recommendations for future implementation
  • Assist in developing demonstrations and pilot solutions that showcase innovative approaches to humanitarian challenges
  • Present findings to team stakeholders as needed

Data and Performance Insights (Priority 3):

  • Support the collection, analysis, and interpretation of project and operational data
  • Assist in developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support informed decision-making
  • Contribute to information and knowledge management activities that strengthen team collaboration and organizational learning

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Current student or recent graduate from an undergraduate/graduate program (within 2 years)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or F-1 student visa holder with valid work authorization)
  • Valid U.S. Social Security Number
  • Able to commit to at least 30 hours per week for the entire internship period: January 25 – April 23, 2027
  • Must be physically located in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Washington

Preferred Fields of Study:

  • Humanitarian Studies, International Development, International Relations, Political Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Innovation Management, Digital Transformation, or related interdisciplinary programs

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Enthusiasm for digital transformation, automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Ability to work independently while effectively contributing within a remote, global team environment
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies and approaches
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint) is beneficial but not required
  • Willingness to use own electronic devices for internship purposes

Pay
