About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a well-established conservation organization based in the American West. Our client advances sustainable land stewardship through policy advocacy, peer networks, and knowledge sharing. We're seeking an Institutional Giving Manager to lead grant writing, funder relations, and institutional fundraising strategy for this remote position.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporate funders that align with organizational priorities
- Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports with input from program teams
- Proactively manage proposal deadlines, reporting schedules, and deliverables calendar
- Develop and implement organizational grant strategy to address priority funding needs and support future growth
- Manage funder relationships through regular meetings, correspondence, site visit facilitation, and strategic check-ins
- Lead cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts for institutional funders in collaboration with executive leadership and development teams
- Prepare donor profiles and briefing materials for leadership and program directors
- Coordinate with program and finance staff to create accurate grant budgets and implementation plans
- Serve as subject matter expert on grant compliance, including allowable expenses, budget revisions, match requirements, and federal uniform guidance
- Maintain detailed records in the development database to track donor engagement and moves management
- Provide grant-related content for organizational communications including newsletters, social media, and annual reports
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
- Minimum five years of experience in grant writing and management with public and private institutional funders
- Experience working for a government entity or nonprofit in environmental conservation preferred
- Proven track record of renewing and expanding support from government and private funders
- Knowledge of federal uniform guidance, particularly regarding budgets and match tracking
- Experience with CRM databases and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong technology literacy with ability to learn new software and digital collaboration tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Creative, positive approach to communication and problem solving
- Must reside in the American West (required for this remote position)
- Ability to travel occasionally for field visits, work outside in variable weather, and lift materials up to 25 pounds

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, exempt position (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday).
