Product Manager/Product Owner

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology organization seeking experienced Product Managers and Product Owners for a specialized contract engagement focused on AI system development and evaluation.

This is a remote, contractor-based role where you'll apply your product expertise to train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. Your domain knowledge in product management will help shape how AI models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality analysis and feedback. No prior AI experience is required—your product background is what matters most.

Important: This is strictly an evaluation and analysis engagement. It does not involve roadmap ownership, delivery management, sprint facilitation, stakeholder leadership, or program governance. Candidates whose primary background is in project management, program management, delivery, or scrum leadership should not apply.

Responsibilities

• Assess and compare AI-generated responses to various writing prompts, including specifications, release notes, user-facing content, and stakeholder communications
• Score responses based on clarity, tone, instruction adherence, and usefulness for intended audiences
• Write detailed rationales explaining scoring decisions, focusing on whether content meets prompt requirements and audience needs
• Identify cases where fluent writing fails to answer questions or where complete responses are unsuitable for target users
• Spot factual inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and instances where content exceeds or misses prompt constraints
• Collaborate virtually and asynchronously with project managers and reviewers to ensure consistency and quality in assessments

What We're Looking For

• Professional experience as a Product Manager or certified Product Owner with a strong record in cross-functional product development
• Native-level English fluency and exceptional written communication skills
• Extensive experience authoring and evaluating specifications, PRDs, acceptance criteria, release notes, or decision documents
• Demonstrated ability to judge whether content is appropriately tailored for executives, technical stakeholders, or end users
• Proven skill in providing actionable, written feedback on technical or user-facing documentation
• Strong attention to detail, critical analysis skills, and ability to work independently while meeting remote project deadlines
• Familiarity with model evaluation, RLHF, or annotation is a plus but not required
