Senior GenAI Solution Engineer (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology consultancy that serves enterprise clients across Europe. Our talent team is seeking a Senior GenAI Solution Engineer to join their German operations. This role offers the opportunity to build production-grade AI systems for major corporations while working in a modern, agile environment with flexible location options including Hamburg, München, Düsseldorf, or remote within Germany.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end development of AI solutions from rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept through to deployment in scalable, highly available production environments
• Build robust backend services in Python that integrate state-of-the-art LLMs and perform reliably under production load
• Design and implement intelligent agent systems that automate real-world workflows through tool calling and memory management, operating safely within defined guardrails
• Integrate AI agents into the software development lifecycle including AI-assisted coding, code reviews, automated testing, and intelligent documentation
• Take ownership of code quality by applying clean architecture principles, implementing automated testing, and establishing efficient CI/CD pipelines
• Implement frameworks to measure the performance of GenAI solutions including accuracy, latency, and cost metrics to ensure continuous optimization
• Work directly with clients by facilitating workshops and acting as a sparring partner for business and management stakeholders
• Translate complex AI concepts into tangible business impact and assess technical feasibility for innovative ideas

What We're Looking For

• Excellent production-ready Python skills with strong expertise in API development (FastAPI, Pydantic), containerization (Docker), testing (unit and integration), Git, and CI/CD workflows beyond notebook-based scripting
• Strong architectural understanding applying SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, dependency injection, and async/concurrency patterns, with experience using ORMs such as SQLAlchemy
• Hands-on experience with multimodal LLM APIs from leading providers and cloud platforms such as Azure OpenAI and AWS Bedrock
• Advanced GenAI engineering skills including prompt engineering, structured outputs (JSON), and tool/function calling
• End-to-end RAG expertise including building full pipelines from embeddings and vector databases (pgvector) to advanced retrieval, re-ranking, and evaluation
• Experience designing and orchestrating autonomous agent systems including memory management and guardrails, with frameworks such as Pydantic AI
• Proven consulting skills with experience facilitating workshops, presenting results, and navigating complex stakeholder environments
• Fluent German (C1 level) and professional proficiency in English
• Completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Information Systems, or comparable field (Bachelor's or higher)
• Willingness to travel and work on-site at client premises on a regular basis
• Ability to quickly build and visualize demos and proof-of-concepts
