About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology organization in their search for a Senior Product Manager, Data Infrastructure based in London on a hybrid basis. This role sits at the intersection of platform strategy, AI-readiness, and data governance—stewarding the infrastructure that makes shared data accessible, trustworthy, and efficient across engineering and analytics teams.
You will own the product direction for a self-service data platform designed to support both human users and AI agents. The organization is moving toward agentic workflows as a standard operating model, and this platform serves as the foundation for governed, auditable access to company data.
Responsibilities
- Manage governed platform access for engineers, analysts, and services—ensuring safe, auditable routes to shared data
- Streamline orchestration and scheduling by consolidating fragmented tools into a unified system teams adopt by default
- Define and build self-service data ingestion capabilities for teams bringing their own data onto the platform
- Oversee retirement of legacy systems with clear ownership handoffs and minimal disruption
- Optimize compute cost efficiency by identifying waste and improving the developer experience simultaneously
- Advance compute strategy diversification to support multiple engines suited to different workload types
- Build AI-ready infrastructure with the same governance and audit standards for agents as for people
- Collaborate closely with data mesh, managed products, and agentic workflow teams toward a unified technical strategy
- Use AI agents in your own workflows and set norms that encourage safe experimentation across the team
What We're Looking For
- Five or more years of product management experience on a data or infrastructure platform team
- Direct experience stewarding technical roadmaps and making sequencing decisions alongside engineering
- A proven track record of completing cross-team migrations and system retirements, not just planning them
- Ability to read system architecture and pipeline dependencies well enough to inform real prioritization calls
- Transparent communication style, especially when addressing complexity or knowledge gaps under pressure
- Comfort weighing compute cost, performance, and developer experience, and driving tradeoffs to clear decisions (preferred)
- Working knowledge of how AI agents interact with data and tooling differently than human users (preferred)
- Proactive approach to navigating new technical systems and identifying key contacts independently (preferred)
