Senior IT Engineer

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology organization in the United Arab Emirates. We are seeking a Senior IT Engineer to lead infrastructure operations, systems architecture, and technical strategy for our client's growing operations.

This is a full-time position based in the United Arab Emirates. You will work directly with senior leadership to design solutions, oversee IT operations, and mentor junior engineering staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware and software components across the infrastructure
• Oversee workstation setup and network connectivity for new employees, including user accounts and email administration
• Manage servers, virtual machines, and endpoint security; implement automated patch management and data encryption controls
• Harden servers, endpoints, and handheld devices by implementing security policies and controls
• Secure network infrastructure through VPN configuration and remote office connectivity
• Lead development of new IT strategies and procedures to increase efficiency and enhance workflow
• Execute emergency response plans for equipment, power, or security failures while protecting data integrity
• Coordinate with all departments to identify equipment needs, obtain vendor quotations, and manage procurement
• Oversee local and wide area network operations; host applications via cloud computing platforms
• Implement network segmentation and access control architecture
• Support ERP systems across HR, supply chain, finance, payroll, inventory, and purchasing functions
• Analyze business processes and propose compatible technical solutions
• Generate operational reports for management across various departments
• Create and maintain technical documentation for all projects and systems
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Research emerging technologies and products to support strategic initiatives
• Negotiate projects and technical solutions with customers and vendors

What We're Looking For

• Senior-level experience managing IT infrastructure and operations in a multi-department organization
• Strong expertise in server administration, virtualization, and endpoint security
• Proven experience with network architecture, VPN configuration, and network segmentation
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems supporting HR, finance, supply chain, and inventory functions
• Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and design technical solutions
• Experience with cloud computing platforms and application hosting
• Strong knowledge of security hardening, patch management, and encryption controls
• Ability to lead IT strategy development and drive process improvements
• Experience coordinating with vendors and managing procurement processes
• Excellent technical documentation and presentation skills
• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex technical issues
