About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential construction organization seeking a Lean Manager to join their quality and continuous improvement team. This remote position requires extensive travel across North America to support project sites with Lean implementation and training initiatives.
Our client is a well-established construction firm serving diverse sectors including industrial, commercial, healthcare, and infrastructure. They have built a strong reputation for operational excellence and are committed to embedding Lean methodologies across their project portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Train and implement Lean practices across construction project teams, including Last Planner System, 5S, Big Room planning, and production control methodologies
- Lead partnering sessions and team alignment workshops for large, diverse project groups
- Mentor project teams using the Explain, Demonstrate, Guide, and Enable (EDGE) coaching model
- Facilitate phase pull planning sessions, weekly coordination meetings, and daily huddles in digital environments
- Conduct Gemba Walks and team health assessments to identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with Champions and project leadership to advance their Lean journey and track progress
- Deploy Site Organization System (5S) and support teams in achieving reliable workflow commitments
- Utilize data and analytics to support project decision-making and continuous improvement
- Participate in industry organizations and communities of practice focused on Lean construction
- Travel extensively (up to 85%) to project sites, offices, and client locations across North America
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
- 5+ years of construction experience
- 1-2 years of hands-on Lean experience in construction or related industry
- Strong facilitation and training skills with ability to influence and coach diverse teams
- Experience with Last Planner System and Lean construction tools
- Ability to serve as a change agent and model continuous improvement behaviors
- Willingness to travel up to 85% of the time to project locations throughout North America
- Excellent communication and mentoring abilities
- Proficiency with digital collaboration and planning tools
