Position Summary

In this on-site role, you'll be responsible for scheduled preventive maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and mechanical repair of heavy equipment and vehicles in our fleet. Your work directly impacts the reliability and safety of our operations across the region. Working full-time at our Carlsbad location, you'll be part of a dedicated maintenance department committed to keeping our assets in top condition.

Responsibilities

  • Execute routine preventive maintenance services including oil and fluid changes, filter replacement, belt inspection, and system checks
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using industry-standard diagnostic tools and test equipment
  • Perform component repairs and replacements following technical specifications and manufacturer guidelines
  • Document all service work, maintenance history, and equipment condition reports for tracking and compliance
  • Conduct pre-operation and post-operation safety inspections of heavy equipment
  • Coordinate with fleet supervisors to schedule maintenance and manage work priorities
  • Maintain a safe, organized workshop and adhere to all occupational safety regulations

Who We're Looking For

  • Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment or commercial fleet vehicles
  • Technical expertise with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy machinery components
  • Proficiency using mechanical hand tools, power tools, and computerized diagnostic systems
  • Ability to work from technical manuals, schematic diagrams, and service bulletins
  • Meticulous work habits and commitment to quality repairs and maintenance standards
  • Current, valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Available for full-time, on-site work at our Carlsbad location
