P0/P1 Process/Manufacturing Engineering PTM

Valeo is hiring a P0/P1 Process/Manufacturing Engineering PTM specialist in Queretaro to lead critical manufacturing transitions and process optimization. This full-time role combines hands-on process engineering with strategic manufacturing planning, making it ideal for engineers who drive production excellence.

The Opportunity

This P0/P1 Process/Manufacturing Engineering PTM position sits at the intersection of product engineering and manufacturing operations. You'll own the critical transition phase where new products move from design into full production at Valeo's Queretaro facility. P0 and P1 priority initiatives demand immediate focus and technical rigor—this role puts you front-and-center on high-impact manufacturing challenges that directly affect quality, cost, and delivery. You'll work alongside manufacturing teams, plant leadership, and cross-functional partners to ensure every process is optimized, documented, and production-ready from day one.

What You'll Do

• Lead process design and optimization for P0/P1 production launches
• Manage the product-to-manufacturing transition, coordinating between design, engineering, and production
• Conduct process capability studies, FMEA, and statistical analysis to validate manufacturing readiness
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, quality issues, and process inefficiencies
• Create and standardize work instructions, control plans, and manufacturing documentation
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies
• Support production ramp-up and monitor process performance against targets

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 3+ years of process engineering or manufacturing operations experience
• Hands-on knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and quality systems (IATF, ISO, APQP)
• Experience managing product launches, process FMEA, and capability studies
• Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with manufacturing software and ERP systems
• Excellent technical writing, presentation, and cross-cultural communication abilities
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and continuous improvement focus
