About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential clinical research organization in the United Kingdom that is seeking Project Coordinators to support their clinical pharmacology programs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that generates critical safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic data for early-phase clinical trials.
Multiple positions are available at different seniority levels, working on either sponsor-dedicated projects or full-service clinical pharmacology studies. We are looking for candidates with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial processes effectively.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will coordinate and complete project tasks for low to medium complexity studies, including external site studies. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Independently developing and owning study-specific documents including Project Management Plans, Communication Plans, Risk Registers, and Training Matrices with minimal assistance
- Managing project setup activities such as study ID requests, system environment setup, electronic Trial Master File (eTMF) configuration, and distribution lists
- Setting up and updating Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), developing local expertise for reporting, study metrics, and risk management
- Organizing and attending study-related meetings, generating agendas, maintaining meeting minutes, and monitoring follow-up items
- Maintaining oversight of eTMF quality control tools and coordinating quality reviews as required
- Posting documents including monitoring reports, project deliverables, trackers, regulatory documents, and meeting materials to internal and client systems
- Serving as sponsor and site contact during maintenance phases of single and multi-site trials
- Managing payment processes according to global finance standards
- Setting up and coordinating sponsor and internal training in accordance with applicable procedures
- Acting as primary point of contact for external sites during study maintenance, responding to queries and providing documents
- Leading external site calls and maintaining project trackers including finance, screening, and vendor tracking
- Assisting with training and mentoring new Project Coordinators
- Supporting the Start-Up Team with confidentiality agreements, site contracts and budgets, regulatory document collection, and ethics committee submissions
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- University or college degree, preferably in a healthcare or scientific field (relevant clinical research experience may be substituted)
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a research environment
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a project management environment
- Knowledge of the clinical trial process; early clinical pharmacology experience is preferred
- Understanding of protocol designs, study objectives, study procedures, and project-related timelines
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) Guidelines, and applicable regulatory authority guidelines

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on low to medium complexity studies
- Effective financial process management capabilities
