Founder’s Associate – Marketing (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential renewable energy investment firm based in Berlin. Our client is scaling a platform that connects private and institutional investors with solar, battery storage, and charging infrastructure projects across Germany. They combine climate impact with financial returns through specialized advisory and tax-optimized investment structures.

This is a Founder's Associate role focused entirely on marketing and growth. You will build and scale marketing from the ground up, working directly with leadership to own content, performance campaigns, and newsletter strategy end-to-end. This is not an execution-only role—you will define priorities, drive results, and appear on camera yourself.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the growth strategy alongside leadership, defining target audiences, channels, budgets, and KPIs with full ownership from strategy through implementation
• Build content marketing from zero to one and scale it to ten: conceptualize and produce YouTube videos, podcasts, LinkedIn and Instagram formats, appear on camera, handle editing, post-production, thumbnails, and adapt long-form content into Reels and Shorts
• Advance existing email marketing through segmentation, automation, lead nurturing, and continuous optimization of open rates, engagement, and conversion across the investor journey
• Own performance marketing across Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and YouTube with aggressive testing of campaigns, creatives, audiences, and landing pages; build remarketing from scratch with a data-driven focus on lead quality and acquisition costs
• Develop and maintain brand voice and visual identity consistently across all touchpoints including social media, investor materials, and internal presentations
• Connect marketing to sales through CRM integration (HubSpot), tracking which activities actually bring in investors, and making performance transparent through regular reporting
• Build marketing operations AI-first, leveraging tools for content creation, video editing, creative production, campaign analysis, and process automation to maximize efficiency
• Become deeply knowledgeable about renewable energy, solar systems, battery storage, and the tax logic of investment products to create marketing that resonates with sophisticated investors
• As the function grows, recruit and lead interns, working students, and freelancers

What We're Looking For

• 2-3 years of hands-on growth or marketing experience at a startup or scale-up with a proven track record of building or scaling channels, campaigns, or processes with measurable results
• Hands-on expertise in at least two of these three areas: content marketing, newsletter/email marketing, performance marketing—with eagerness to master the third
• Ability to learn complex subject matter quickly: renewable energy systems, battery technology, and investment tax structures must become second nature
• Data-driven approach with practical experience in tracking, attribution, A/B testing, and reporting as core workflow tools, not buzzwords
• Strong eye for aesthetics and storytelling with video editing experience; ideally comfortable with camera, audio, and lighting equipment
• Willingness to appear on camera regularly or commitment to develop that skill rapidly
• Deep understanding of how YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram function for both short-form and long-form content
• AI-first mindset: proven use of AI tools in content production, analytics, and automation, with active exploration of new efficiency opportunities
• High autonomy: you make decisions independently, take responsibility for outcomes, and stay accountable even when uncomfortable
• Excellent German language skills with strong command of tone and style
• Available for full-time employment with willingness to work five days per week in the Berlin office
• Bonus: prior knowledge of renewable energy or energy markets, or experience marketing financial/investment products
