Growth Manager (m/w/d) – Renewable Energy Startup

About This Opportunity

We are representing a rapidly scaling renewable energy investment firm based in Berlin. Our client connects private and institutional investors with profitable, tax-optimized opportunities in photovoltaic systems, battery storage, and charging infrastructure across Germany.

This is a rare ground-floor opportunity to build marketing and growth operations from scratch alongside the founding team. You'll own the entire growth function—from strategy through execution—and have direct impact on how capital flows into climate solutions.

Responsibilities

• Growth Strategy: Develop and execute the complete growth strategy with the founders, defining target audiences, channels, budgets, KPIs, and owning end-to-end results
• Content Marketing: Conceive and produce YouTube videos, podcasts, and LinkedIn/Instagram content; appear on camera yourself and shoot with founders; handle editing, post-production, thumbnails, and adapt long-form content into Reels and Shorts
• Newsletter Marketing: Evolve existing email programs through segmentation, automation, lead nurturing, and continuous optimization of open rates, engagement, and conversion across the investor journey
• Performance Marketing: Manage and aggressively test paid campaigns across Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and YouTube; build remarketing from scratch; optimize relentlessly for lead quality and acquisition costs using data and tracking
• Brand Development: Evolve brand voice and visual identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints from social media to investor materials and internal presentations
• Funnel & Data: Connect marketing to sales, work closely with HubSpot CRM, and demonstrate which initiatives actually drive investor acquisition
• AI-First Operations: Leverage AI tools throughout content creation, video editing, creative production, campaign analysis, and process automation to maximize efficiency
• Team Building: As success scales, build and lead your own team including interns, working students, and freelancers

What We're Looking For

• 2–3 years of growth or marketing experience at a startup or scale-up, with a proven track record of building or scaling channels, campaigns, or processes
• Hands-on expertise in at least two of: content marketing, newsletter/email marketing, performance marketing—with eagerness to master the third
• Ability to rapidly learn complex topics including renewable energy systems, battery storage, and investment tax structures; product understanding is essential to creating persuasive marketing
• Data-driven approach: comfortable with tracking, attribution, A/B testing, and reporting as core tools, not buzzwords
• Strong aesthetic sense and storytelling ability with video editing experience; ideally also camera, audio, and lighting skills
• Comfortable appearing on camera or willing to learn
• Deep understanding of YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram in both short-form and long-form formats
• AI-first mindset: actively using AI tools for content production, analysis, and automation, constantly seeking new efficiency levers
• High autonomy: make independent decisions and take ownership of results, even when challenging
• Excellent German language skills with strong instinct for tone and voice
• Available for full-time role with 5 days per week in Berlin office
• Bonus: Prior knowledge of renewable energy or energy markets, or experience marketing financial/investment products
