Senior Product Manager Service Cockpit (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cleantech organization in Berlin that is building remote diagnostic and maintenance capabilities for heat pump service operations. As Senior Product Manager, you will take an internally tested prototype and transform it into a production-ready application that enables field technicians to remotely diagnose heat pumps, identify faults faster, and configure systems safely—reducing on-site visits and improving first-time fix rates.

This is a hands-on role where you build the product yourself using AI coding tools. There is no dedicated engineering team, and none will be added. If you prefer writing tickets and handing off implementation, this role is not for you.

Responsibilities

• Evolve the read-only prototype into a stable, production-grade service cockpit in short iterative cycles, owning the product from discovery through deployment and operations
• Define a canonical data model for the company's heat pump platform and integrate data from multiple manufacturer systems
• Resolve missing sensor values, unclear error codes, technical data gaps, and access issues by coordinating with analytics, platform, IT, security teams, and hardware manufacturers
• Build secure write-access for selected configuration parameters, align role-based permissions, and automate recurring remote maintenance tasks
• Work directly with service technicians on real cases, measure avoided truck rolls and first-time fix rates, and expand the platform with customer reporting, predictive maintenance, additional asset classes, native apps, and service process integration

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of experience in digital product management, product engineering, or data product development, with proven track record shipping products to production
• Demonstrated ability to independently build functional applications using AI coding tools; you'll show us what you've built and explain your technical decisions during interviews
• Strong data literacy: ability to work with unfamiliar sensor data, time-series data, and APIs, identify relationships, and articulate missing values or access requirements. SQL and BI tools are part of your daily workflow
• Experience designing professional interfaces for users working under time pressure, with decisions driven by workflow needs rather than available data fields
• Track record obtaining data or access from manufacturers, service providers, or internal platform teams, maintaining clarity even when facing organizational resistance
• Fluent English and at least B2-level German
• Heat pump expertise is not required—you'll build domain knowledge during onboarding while bringing strong technical product judgment
