Senior VFX Artist – New Mobile Game

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential mobile gaming studio in Hamburg seeking a Senior VFX Artist to join their development team on an exciting new project.

In this role, you will:

• Create high-quality real-time VFX for a 3D mobile game, including combat effects, abilities, impacts, environmental effects, transitions, UI effects, and reward moments
• Build and improve art pipelines, tools, exporters, validation systems, and automation workflows
• Develop, optimize, and maintain shaders and materials suitable for mobile performance constraints
• Collaborate with engineers and artists on VFX pipelines, tools, performance profiling, and implementation workflows

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 4+ years of professional VFX artistry with an impressive portfolio demonstrating your work
• Technical knowledge: Solid understanding of graphics math with a commitment to continuous learning
• Programming: Proficiency in C#, Python, HLSL, and CG Shader language or similar
• 3D skills: Experience in modeling, skinning, and animation
• Software expertise: Skilled in using Houdini, Blender Geometry Nodes, or comparable tools
• Game engine: Proficient in Unity3D with the ability to integrate assets into the engine independently
• AI-assisted production: Willingness to embrace new technologies and AI tools
• Collaboration: Proactive communicator who enjoys sharing knowledge and working with international teams
• Education: University degree or comparable training in graphics or related field
• Language: Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
