About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization in their search for a Senior Software Engineer I based in Paris. This role sits within a specialized Identity Verification team responsible for building cutting-edge verification products that serve a global customer base. You'll work at the intersection of modern software engineering and emerging technologies including AI and computer vision, developing production-ready solutions that handle verification at massive scale.

We are looking for an experienced engineer who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional environments and is excited to take full ownership of complex systems from concept through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative, scalable applications for real-world identity verification challenges within a microservices architecture using industry best practices
• Take full ownership of new and existing features and services, managing the complete lifecycle from conceptualization and design through deployment and production monitoring
• Collaborate actively with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Risk, DevOps, and Data Science to maximize the impact of technical initiatives
• Write clean, maintainable, extendable, and testable code on high-impact systems
• Build, own, and operate systems to the highest levels of resilience and service reliability
• Champion technical excellence and foster knowledge sharing across the organization
• Mentor junior team members and support their technical development
• Research and integrate emerging technologies to continuously improve verification capabilities
• Ensure data integrity and compliance while translating complex insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Over 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer working with complex, large-scale applications and diverse tech stacks
• Proficiency in C#.NET with strong understanding of software development principles in backend or full stack environments
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Experience working in agile environments and delivering high-quality code within tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• AI proficiency or strong curiosity about leveraging latest technology to enhance productivity
• French language proficiency at minimum B2 level

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with cloud and infrastructure technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Prometheus
• Experience with databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Direct experience solving real-world business problems through innovative, data-driven approaches
• Experience in additional programming languages beyond C#.NET
• Payments or financial services knowledge
