About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential aerospace technology organization establishing operations in Munich, Germany. Our client develops cutting-edge communication systems for satellites and airborne platforms, and they need a Product Manager to join their Product Engineering Group in this new European location.
This role sits at the intersection of technical excellence and customer success. You'll manage the complete product lifecycle—from concept through customer integration—for highly technical communication systems serving the European market. Working with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and marketing, you'll translate customer needs into product strategies while maintaining deep technical credibility in RF electronics and space communication systems.
Responsibilities
- Define product strategies in collaboration with senior leadership and engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements for the European market
- Contribute to product roadmap development, prioritizing features and enhancements based on market trends, customer feedback, and technological advancements
- Serve as liaison between product engineering, business development, sales, marketing, and customer support to deliver products that exceed customer expectations
- Engage directly with customers to understand technical needs, challenges, and goals, leveraging insights to inform product decisions
- Oversee product launches and feature releases, collaborating with marketing to drive adoption and customer satisfaction
- Provide technical leadership and customer-facing support to ensure smooth product integrations
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for products and processes to maintain industry-leading solutions
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation including user manuals, application notes, and white papers
- Equip customer-facing teams with the knowledge needed to support product offerings effectively
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
- At least 7 years of experience in communication electronics design, technical product development, product management, or application support
- In-depth understanding of RF electronics, communication systems, and associated technologies such as digital systems, embedded software, FPGAs, and power electronics
- Proven experience working with technical customers, developing strong relationships, and translating needs into actionable product requirements
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++ or Python
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose and solve complex product issues across hardware and software domains
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with high-reliability electronics and systems, particularly in the aerospace industry
- Familiarity with small satellite systems and their unique requirements
Preferred Experience:
- Background in technical sales, marketing, or customer solution development
- Experience crafting technical solutions for customer proposals, demonstrating understanding of customer requirements and aligning product capabilities accordingly
