AI Engineer (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology client in Nürnberg seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join their specialized team working on production-grade generative AI systems. This is an opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge multi-agent architectures, RAG implementations, and LLM applications in a collaborative environment that values iterative development and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate production-ready multi-agent systems and autonomous workflows
• Design RAG architectures incorporating knowledge graphs and hybrid retrieval strategies
• Build document processing pipelines for information extraction from complex documents
• Fine-tune and optimize large language models and multimodal models
• Design agent stacks using modern standards including prompt engineering techniques
• Create data engineering pipelines for preprocessing, entity resolution, and data harmonization
• Integrate LLM applications into existing system landscapes
• Conduct evaluation, monitoring, and performance optimization of production AI systems
• Collaborate closely within cross-functional teams

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience with production-ready GenAI and multi-agent systems
• Strong knowledge of agent engineering and frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI
• Excellent Python skills with hands-on experience using LangChain and LangGraph
• Experience working with LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini) and fine-tuning techniques (SFT, RLHF)
• Expertise in document processing and handling structured/unstructured data
• Solid data engineering background including ETL, preprocessing, and data pipelines
• Understanding of production ML including deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization
• Very strong German language skills (C1 level) and good English proficiency
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities

Bonus qualifications (not required): Knowledge of knowledge graphs, semantic web, or graph ML; experience with cloud AI platforms and MLOps tools such as AWS Bedrock, MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes; domain knowledge in tax, legal, or finance sectors.
