We are representing a confidential sustainable mobility organization experiencing strong growth across Germany and the Netherlands. Our client operates a fleet-based service model across more than 50 locations and needs an Operations Manager to ensure service quality keeps pace with expansion.

This role reports directly to the Head of Operations and is responsible for day-to-day operational execution. You'll maintain oversight of ongoing projects, serve as the central point of contact for a field team of 10+ technicians, and ensure information flows smoothly between field operations, warehouse, and office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations, making autonomous decisions and escalating only when necessary
  • Coordinate and communicate with the field service team regarding assignments, queries, and information flow
  • Track small operational projects, monitoring deadlines, responsibilities, and status
  • Report regularly to the Head of Operations on status, bottlenecks, and action items
  • Maintain the fleet management system, including vehicle uploads and transfers between locations
  • Prepare KPI analyses for reporting and decision-making
  • Coordinate inventory counts and spare parts orders, planning materials and tools so field mechanics are never without resources
  • Manage internal quality processes for service tickets, including analysis and data preparation
  • Handle complaint processes from intake through resolution
  • Oversee fleet management for field-deployed vehicles, batteries, and internal company vehicles
  • Contribute to process optimization initiatives for scalable operations
  • Occasional on-site visits to hubs or partners (primarily Cologne-based with sporadic travel)

What We're Looking For

  • Completed degree or commercial/technical apprenticeship in fields such as industrial engineering, logistics/supply chain, business administration, business informatics, or mobility management—though no specific credential is required and career starters are expressly welcome
  • Strong Excel proficiency with structured, meticulous, and independent working style
  • Clear and reliable communication skills in writing and by phone, comfortable following up with field teams
  • Analytical thinking with ability to maintain overview across multiple parallel topics, make independent decisions, and take action
  • Very good German and solid English
  • Genuine interest in operations and improving processes
