Oncology Case Manager – Houston, Texas

About This Role

We are representing a confidential precision medicine organization seeking an Oncology Case Manager in Houston, Texas. Our client is at the forefront of molecular diagnostics and personalized healthcare, delivering innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes.

This position focuses on maintaining and growing relationships with existing healthcare customers in your assigned territory. You'll serve as the critical link between providers and the laboratory, ensuring a seamless experience from order placement through report delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced account manager with a passion for oncology to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end customer relationships, ensuring exceptional support and satisfaction throughout the testing process
• Execute retention strategies to maintain and organically grow existing accounts within your territory
• Build value-based relationships with oncology practices and key stakeholders to drive increased utilization of diagnostic services
• Collaborate with internal teams including Customer Support and Commercial Leadership to address customer needs and share feedback
• Maintain accurate documentation of all customer interactions and activities in the CRM system
• Assist physicians with test ordering and result interpretation, including quality control processes (requires PHI access)
• Develop working knowledge of molecular profiling platforms, reimbursement processes, and the client's technology solutions
• Support attendance at medical conferences and trade shows as needed
• Meet or exceed assigned performance metrics and business goals

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 3 years of account management or customer-facing experience
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Understanding of clinic-based business operations and workflows
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to learn proprietary software platforms
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift routine office materials

Preferred:

• Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or diagnostics industries
• Background in oncology or oncology-related services

Additional Requirements:

• Periodic travel required, including possible evenings, weekends, or holidays
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening (background check, drug screening, reference verification)
