Software Mind is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for our San José, San José Province, CR office. This full-time position offers the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions that ensure product quality and reliability.

The Opportunity

As an SDET at Software Mind, you will play a critical role in elevating our testing practices and product excellence. You'll take ownership of test automation strategy, working alongside development teams to catch issues early and reduce time-to-market. Core Duties

• Design and implement automated test suites using industry-standard frameworks and tools
• Develop scalable testing infrastructure and continuous integration pipelines
• Collaborate with software engineers to define test requirements and acceptance criteria
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring clear communication with development teams
• Optimize test execution speed and reliability through analysis and refactoring
• Mentor team members on testing best practices and automation techniques

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar)
• Strong experience with test automation frameworks and tools
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and lifecycle
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD platforms
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across technical teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
