REXEL is hiring a full-time CDL Driver to join our supply chain operations in Birmingham, AL. This role offers the opportunity to deliver electrical products and materials while becoming part of a leading distribution company.
About the Role
As a CDL Driver for REXEL, you'll operate commercial vehicles to transport products throughout our distribution network. You'll play a vital part in our supply chain, ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials to customers and job sites across the Birmingham area. This is a hands-on position ideal for drivers who take pride in their work and understand the importance of reliability in the construction and electrical trades.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain commercial vehicles in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations and company safety standards
- Transport electrical products, materials, and equipment to customer locations, job sites, and distribution centers
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs
- Manage delivery routes efficiently, meeting scheduled delivery times and customer expectations
- Verify load accuracy, secure cargo properly, and complete required documentation
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and team members
What You Bring
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for the appropriate vehicle class
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles (CDL driving experience preferred)
- Clean driving history and commitment to safe driving practices
- Ability to lift, carry, and secure heavy materials safely
- Strong time management and route organization skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude
