About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential infrastructure technology company in a search for a Senior Product Designer focused on growth. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, user experience, and measurable business outcomes. You'll own the complete self-serve journey—from signup and onboarding through activation, conversion, expansion, and retention—for both human users and emerging AI-driven workflows.
This is not a role with a predefined playbook or stable project briefs. You'll work in an evidence-driven environment where priorities shift based on data, some experiments won't ship, and you'll need to find the right problems before solving them. You'll report into Product Design and collaborate closely with Growth Product, Engineering, and Data teams to move from hypothesis to prototype to shipped experience to measured result.
If you're within commuting distance of San Francisco, New York, London, or Berlin, the role includes in-office anchor days Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Beyond that distance, the role is fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Own the self-serve product experience across the full funnel: onboarding, activation, adoption, monetization, and retention for both human and AI-driven users
- Identify high-impact opportunities through customer research, product analytics, and direct product usage
- Co-own growth strategy, priorities, hypotheses, and success metrics with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, and Data
- Build and validate interactive prototypes using modern design and AI-assisted development tools
- Design and ship experiments, stay engaged through implementation, and interpret results while maintaining quality standards for trust, accessibility, and user experience
- Convert successful experiments into scalable product improvements, reusable design patterns, and better internal tooling
- Share learnings across Design and Growth teams to build institutional knowledge with every experiment
What We're Looking For
- Portfolio demonstrating strong product design fundamentals and measurable business outcomes, showing how you identified opportunities, understood conversion funnels, defined metrics, tested concepts, and improved shipped products
- Experience owning ambiguous, complex projects from problem definition through launch and iteration; ability to create clarity and drive progress without complete specifications
- Ability to form actionable hypotheses, select appropriate success and guardrail metrics, and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data with analytics partners
- Capability to build interactive prototypes independently using modern AI-assisted tools; comfort working with prompts, adjacent to code, and learning new tools as needed
- Track record designing clear, trustworthy experiences across varying skill levels and abilities, with attention to interaction details, edge cases, content, accessibility, and error recovery
- Strong collaboration skills with Product, Engineering, and Data teams; ability to communicate tradeoffs clearly, seek early feedback, and stay involved through implementation
- Judgment about when to leverage existing design systems versus when a custom solution is the fastest responsible path to learning
- Bonus: experience shipping AI or agent-driven experiences, engineering background or production web code contributions, or experience designing developer tools or technical infrastructure products
