Technical Product Lead – AI Finance

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization expanding across Southeast Asia. This is a rare opportunity to own a product vertical end-to-end in a high-stakes environment where products move real money. We're seeking a Technical Product Lead who understands that reliability, regulatory requirements, and third-party financial integrations aren't edge cases—they're fundamental to the product.

This role is remote and open to candidates based in Germany who can work effectively across distributed international teams.

Responsibilities

• Own a product vertical from strategy through delivery, including metrics, roadmap, priorities, and launch execution
• Shape technical design alongside engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience
• Build regulatory requirements into the product, including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing considerations
• Apply AI strategically where it genuinely improves outcomes, with clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Ship products around external dependencies including regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners
• Align Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance around product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production
• Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Proven ability to work closely with engineers, review technical designs, and contribute meaningfully to architectural discussions
• Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Strong product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation, reliability considerations, and understanding when AI should not be used
• Strong English communication skills for working across global teams

Preferred:

• Engineering or highly technical product background
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
