Senior SAP IS-U Consultant (m/w/d) Energiedatenmanagement – Aufbau eines neuen EDM Teams

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential client in the energy sector who is building a completely new Energy Data Management (EDM) team. As their recruiting partner, we're seeking a Senior SAP IS-U Consultant with strong EDM expertise to join this greenfield initiative.

This is a fully remote position offering the opportunity to shape both technical solutions and team structure from the ground up. Our client works with energy providers across Germany and Europe, supporting their digital transformation and migration to modern SAP platforms.

Responsibilities

• Advise German and European energy sector clients on all Energy Data Management (EDM) matters within SAP IS-U and SAP S/4HANA Utilities
• Analyze, standardize, and further develop EDM-relevant processes including meter data, load profiles, and balancing
• Support clients migrating from SAP IS-U to SAP S/4HANA Utilities through all transformation phases
• Work on current energy industry topics including regulatory changes (MaBiS/GaBi)
• Create requirements concepts, design solutions, lead implementation, and conduct workshops and training sessions
• Play an active role in building the new EDM team: knowledge development, defining structures, establishing standards
• Mentor colleagues and take ownership of specialist topics
• Contribute to industry partner communities developing new energy sector solutions

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed degree or training in a commercial or technical field
• Familiarity with energy provider processes through work in the energy sector
• 3-4 years of experience in configuration, implementation, and enhancement of SAP IS-U systems with a focus on Energy Data Management (EDM)
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Utilities is highly desirable
• Ideally, foundational knowledge in IT project management and an object-oriented programming language such as ABAP or Java
• German at native or near-native level for client interaction
• Fluent English for international collaboration
• Interest in contributing to team building and potentially growing into a team lead role
