About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential cloud consulting organization in their search for a Principal Architect - Solutions. This senior technical leadership role combines presales architecture, strategic client engagement, and delivery oversight to drive complex cloud transformation initiatives across enterprise clients throughout the United States.

In this position, you'll serve as the primary technical overlay for your assigned region, partnering closely with sales teams to design sophisticated solutions, lead high-stakes presales engagements, and provide technical governance on flagship projects. You'll balance strategic solution design with hands-on technical leadership, often serving as Technical Account Lead on the most complex implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead presales efforts as the senior technical face of the organization, creating enterprise-level solution designs, technical roadmaps, and proposals that align with ambitious sales targets
• Deliver compelling technical presentations, demos, and workshops during complex client engagements, working directly with C-suite stakeholders
• Serve as Technical Account Lead on high-value, large-scale projects, providing critical technical governance and mentorship to delivery teams
• Partner strategically with Cloud Solutions Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) to drive adoption of advanced solutions and support vendor-specific objectives
• Develop company-wide scalable architectures, presales tools, and repeatable solution blueprints that drive consistency across the organization
• Oversee rapid turnaround of Statements of Work, scopes, and sales-related technical documentation
• Identify and pursue opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services based on evolving client needs
• Collaborate with sales, delivery, and CSP teams to maintain technical playbooks and presales enablement materials
• Deliver technology enablement workshops and training on emerging cloud technologies

What We're Looking For

• 10-14 years of relevant experience in cloud computing and architecture
• Proven track record designing and implementing highly complex, enterprise-grade cloud solutions in production environments
• Expert-level experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and serverless computing
• Advanced application portfolio analysis skills to determine migration and modernization paths
• Strong understanding of foundational cloud architectures, networking, security, DevOps practices, and open-source technologies
• Experience with LLM training, RAG models, Generative AI, and Agentic AI implementations
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols, security best practices, and compliance requirements
• At least two professional-level certifications and one associate-level certification across two different cloud platforms (e.g., AWS and Azure/GCP)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, IT Management, or equivalent professional experience
• Exceptional ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while managing multiple competing priorities
• Strong sales acumen and proven ability to drive revenue growth through strategic technical engagement
