Staff Physician (MD/DO)- 100% Remote

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential telehealth organization seeking a Staff Physician (MD/DO) to deliver virtual patient care on a fully remote basis. This is a unique opportunity to provide evidence-based medical treatment while mentoring clinical staff in a growing digital health environment.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and reside within the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct virtual patient care, including prescribing medications, creating treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress (approximately 80% of role)
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and communicate results to patients
• Deliver patient education regarding medications, treatment risks, benefits, and expected outcomes
• Refer higher acuity patients to specialized care based on established clinical guidelines
• Maintain comprehensive medical records and ensure high-quality clinical documentation
• Cover critical outreach shifts for remote monitoring up to three days per week, including weekend coverage and early morning or evening shifts (7am or 7pm)
• Respond to members identified through remote monitoring protocols and prescribe rescue medications or direct to emergency services when needed
• Provide clinical oversight, training, and mentorship to Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Medical Assistants (approximately 20% of role)
• Participate in interviewing and hiring clinical staff
• Develop and deliver training materials for clinical team members
• Conduct clinical audits and provide real-time mentorship to staff
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory protocols

What We're Looking For

• Active MD or DO license in good standing
• Board certification in relevant specialty (Obesity Medicine certification strongly preferred)
• Experience with telehealth or virtual care delivery
• Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Ability to provide empathetic, judgment-free patient care
• Leadership experience mentoring or supervising clinical staff
• Flexibility to cover weekend shifts and early morning or evening hours as needed
• Authorized to work in the United States; must reside in and work from the U.S.
