About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology services organization seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with deep AWS expertise to join their team in Argentina. Our client partners with companies to modernize their infrastructure and delivery pipelines, and this role will be instrumental in driving automation, reliability, and security for their customers' cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and technical objectives
- Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines to streamline software deployment
- Build and manage automation processes for software build, deployment, and configuration using industry-standard tools
- Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security
- Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and similar technologies
- Develop monitoring solutions using CloudWatch and other AWS tools to ensure system health and performance
- Proactively identify and resolve issues related to system performance, reliability, and scalability
- Implement security best practices including IAM policies, security groups, and VPC configurations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security policies
- Provide technical support for development and operations teams, addressing build failures, deployment issues, and system outages
- Participate in on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and configurations
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with version control systems, preferably Git
- Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools
- AWS certification (current or expired) required: Solutions Architect Associate, Developer Associate, SysOps Administrator Associate, Solutions Architect Professional, or DevOps Engineer Professional
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
