Farm Boy Inc. is hiring an Order Picker for our Distribution facility in Mississauga, ON. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to play a key role in getting products from our warehouse to customers efficiently and accurately.
What This Role Involves
As an Order Picker, you'll be the backbone of our distribution centre's order fulfilment process. You'll work in our fast-paced warehouse environment, selecting and preparing inventory items for shipment to retail locations and customers. Your speed, accuracy, and attention to detail directly impact how smoothly our operation runs and how quickly customers receive their orders.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Pick items from warehouse shelves and bins according to customer orders and warehouse management system instructions
- Verify order accuracy by cross-checking items against picking lists and system records
- Organise and stage picked items for packing and shipping
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily shipping targets
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised warehouse environment
Who We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift regularly throughout your shift
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based warehouse environment
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated to meet productivity goals
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic reading and numeracy skills to interpret orders and labels
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus but not required
