Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative at Farm Boy Inc., you'll be the friendly face of our brand, engaging with customers, addressing their needs, and creating positive shopping experiences. This part-time position is based in Ottawa and offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail environment where your communication skills and customer focus directly impact customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection and inquiries
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently at checkout or service counters
• Answer customer questions about products, pricing, and store policies
• Handle customer concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy
• Maintain a clean and well-organised work area
• Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent service delivery
• Support store operations including stocking, merchandising, or department-specific tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain patient and courteous with customers in all situations
• Basic cash handling and point-of-sale system experience (or willingness to learn)
• Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in retail or customer service is an asset
