Strongin, LLP seeks a detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Secretary for our Ladera Ranch office to support our growing litigation practice in Personal Injury, Toxic Tort, Product Defects, and Motor Vehicle Accidents. Role Overview
As Legal Assistant/Secretary at Strongin, LLP, you will be the backbone of our litigation team, managing critical administrative and legal support functions across our personal injury and toxic tort practice areas. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organization, and proactive communication directly impact case outcomes and client satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Manage case files, document organization, and legal records with precision
- Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, and court documents under attorney supervision
- Schedule hearings, depositions, and client meetings; maintain attorney calendars
- Support discovery processes, including document review, organization, and production
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff professionally and efficiently
- Prepare court filings and maintain compliance with filing deadlines and procedural rules
- Coordinate with expert witnesses and third-party vendors as needed for case support
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all ethical standards governing legal practice
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; paralegal certificate or legal assistant training preferred
- Proven experience as a legal assistant, secretary, or administrator in a law firm setting
- Proficiency in legal document preparation and familiarity with case management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
