Category Manager – Semiconductors

Roche is hiring a Category Manager – Semiconductors for our Indianapolis operations. In this full-time position based in Marion County, you'll drive procurement strategy, supplier relationships, and cost optimization across our semiconductor supply chain.

What This Role Involves

As a Category Manager in Semiconductors, you'll own the strategic procurement and vendor management for a critical product category. You'll evaluate market conditions, negotiate contracts, and ensure supply chain reliability while maximizing value for the organization. This role combines analytical rigor with supplier relationship management to support Roche's mission of advancing healthcare globally.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for semiconductor components and related materials
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers; manage relationships with existing vendors
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and service levels to achieve cost targets and quality standards
• Monitor market trends, supply chain risk, and competitive dynamics within the semiconductor industry
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and quality assurance
• Analyze spend data and prepare performance metrics and reporting for stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement standards, and regulatory requirements

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of category management, procurement, or supply chain experience
• Knowledge of semiconductor products, supply chain dynamics, or related manufacturing
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with internal and external partners
• Proficiency with procurement systems and data analysis tools
