Senior Manager of Project Management – Construction

Jobot is recruiting a Senior Manager of Project Management - Construction for a leading general contractor based in Vallejo, Solano County. This full-time role is perfect for an experienced construction leader ready to establish and oversee a brand-new internal project management division for a well-established California contractor.

About the Role

You'll be chartered with building from the ground up a dedicated project management division within one of California's most respected general contracting firms. This is a leadership opportunity to shape processes, build teams, and set the standard for how complex construction projects are managed across the company's growing portfolio throughout the Bay Area and beyond.

What You'll Do

• Establish and operationalize a new internal construction project management division from inception
• Develop and implement project management frameworks, standards, and best practices across all active projects
• Oversee the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of multiple concurrent construction projects
• Lead and mentor a team of project managers and coordinators, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
• Collaborate with senior leadership, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
• Manage risk, quality, and safety protocols to exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Serve as the primary liaison between the executive team and project-level operations

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive construction project management experience, including team leadership
• Proven track record building successful project management operations within a general contracting firm
• Strong expertise in construction scheduling, cost control, and resource allocation
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Technical proficiency with construction management software and tools
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field preferred
• PMP or construction-specific certification a plus

Compensation and Details

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 annually, based on experience.
