Registered Nurse – IMC Telemetry

CHRISTUS Health is hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Monitoring Cardiac (IMC) Telemetry unit in Youree, Caddo Parish. This is an essential nursing role where you'll deliver specialized patient care and monitoring in a dynamic clinical environment.

About the Role

As an IMC Telemetry Registered Nurse at CHRISTUS Health, you'll provide direct patient care to individuals requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry surveillance. You'll work as a vital member of a skilled nursing team, using clinical judgment and evidence-based practice to ensure optimal patient outcomes in this specialized acute care setting.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips; promptly communicate arrhythmias and changes to the care team
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols
• Provide direct nursing interventions including vital signs monitoring, wound care, and patient education
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapy, and ancillary services
• Respond to patient call lights and requests; address questions and concerns with professionalism
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while maintaining a clean, organized patient environment

What We're Looking For

• Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple patients with varying acuity levels
• Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
