Registered Nurse, Surg Endoscopy GI – PRN

About the Role

In this full-time position, you'll provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. You'll work alongside physicians and specialty team members to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care throughout the procedural journey—from pre-procedure assessment through post-operative recovery and discharge preparation.

What You'll Do

• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology procedures, ensuring sterility and patient safety
• Administer medications and manage IV access under physician direction
• Monitor vital signs and patient response to sedation or anesthesia
• Provide clear pre- and post-procedure education to patients and families
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and procedure details
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to address patient needs and clinical changes
• Demonstrate independent clinical judgment while managing contingencies and complex patient situations

What We're Looking For

• Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Experience or demonstrated interest in gastroenterology, surgical endoscopy, or procedural nursing
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a dynamic procedural environment
• Commitment to patient safety, privacy, and evidence-based practice
• Collaborative approach to working within specialized care teams
