Claratel Behavioral Health is seeking a Direct Service Professional in Lithonia, DeKalb County to join our community-based team. This part-time position offers meaningful work supporting individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use needs in an underserved community.
Position Summary
As a Direct Service Professional with Claratel Behavioral Health, you'll provide direct support and assistance to clients receiving behavioral health services. Working part-time in our Lithonia location, you'll be a key member of our team committed to improving lives and building community resilience through compassionate, person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals receiving behavioral health and developmental disabilities services
- Assist clients with daily living activities and community integration
- Support individuals in mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorder recovery
- Document client interactions and progress according to organizational standards
- Collaborate with clinical and care coordination teams to support individual treatment plans
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment that promotes dignity and respect
- Participate in professional development and required training programs
Who We're Looking For
- Genuine commitment to serving underserved populations and supporting behavioral health recovery
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow ethical standards
- Reliability and commitment to a part-time work schedule
- Prior experience in behavioral health, social services, or related fields is a plus
- Willingness to complete required background checks and participate in training
