The Place for Children with Autism is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for an after-school, part-time position in Crystal Lake, McHenry County. About the Role

This is an in-person, part-time opportunity to deliver direct behavior therapy services during after-school hours. You'll work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans, track client progress, and create meaningful moments of growth for children on the autism spectrum. Certified RBTs receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

What You'll Do

  • Implement behavior intervention strategies and therapeutic techniques based on individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct behavioral assessments and collect data on client skill development and progress
  • Teach functional and social skills in structured and naturalistic settings
  • Provide positive reinforcement and use evidence-based behavior management approaches
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors, families, and the clinical team about client achievements and areas for growth
  • Maintain detailed, accurate clinical documentation and progress notes
  • Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment and respond to behavioral challenges with professionalism

What We're Looking For

  • Current RBT certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
  • Ability to work effectively with children with autism and developmental differences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation to our Crystal Lake location (15 Crystal Lake Road, Lake in the Hills, IL 60156)
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to individual client needs
  • Commitment to professional development and following clinical supervision
