About the Role

The Associate Director of Programs serves as an operational leader within PATH's Outreach Services team, reporting directly to the Divisional Director. Working Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, this non-exempt role blends direct supervisory responsibilities with strategic program management. You'll oversee multiple program managers and team supervisors, ensuring high-quality service delivery while managing budgets, funding compliance, and performance reporting. Your leadership will model client-centered practice, drive evidence-based program design, and champion organizational values across internal and external partnerships.

What You'll Do

  • Direct all program operational functions under the Department Director's guidance, including workflow design and performance monitoring
  • Supervise program managers and team supervisors; oversee hiring, onboarding, workload assignment, and ongoing staff development
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, performance evaluations, attendance management, and corrective action; address employee concerns and facilitate conflict resolution
  • Develop program budgets and contribute to grant proposals; ensure adherence to funder contracts and reporting standards
  • Manage data collection and compliance reporting for funders, government agencies, and senior leadership; prepare progress and performance summaries
  • Build and sustain strategic partnerships with community organizations and key stakeholders
  • Collaborate across PATH Operations, HR, Finance, and Program departments to align resources and priorities
  • Represent the organization in employment-related proceedings and supervisory capacity as needed
  • Participate in mandatory training and staff meetings to ensure continuous professional development

Minimum Qualifications

  • Four years of professional experience in healthcare, case management, homeless services, or direct support to vulnerable populations
  • One year of supervisory experience in homeless services or related social services
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (driving is an essential job function)
  • Employment authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six years of experience in healthcare, case management, homeless services, or vulnerable population support
  • Two years of supervisory experience in homeless services or allied social services fields

Mandatory Requirements

Candidates must successfully complete a tuberculosis test, background screening, and drug screening as a condition of employment. You must provide proof of current vehicle insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties, and qualify for PATH's insurance coverage. Individuals currently receiving or who have received PATH services within the past two years are ineligible.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $77,782–$95,633 annually, paid 24 times per year. Compensation reflects experience and qualifications.
