About the Role

As a Travel Respiratory Therapist, you'll provide essential respiratory care services to patients across various hospital departments and care units. You'll work collaboratively with interdisciplinary medical teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate respiratory therapy services.

What You'll Do

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients requiring respiratory care and oxygen therapy
  • Perform pulmonary function testing, blood gas analysis, and other diagnostic procedures
  • Manage mechanical ventilation, including setup, troubleshooting, and patient weaning protocols
  • Administer aerosol medications and breathing treatments according to physician orders
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatment plans
  • Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and communicate effectively with healthcare team members
  • Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and code situations
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe care environment

What We're Looking For

  • Current Respiratory Therapist licensure in New York
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential or willingness to obtain
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred
  • Minimum one year of clinical respiratory therapy experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
